CUSTOMER DATA PRIVACY POLICY
Arctic Photo Guide ENK (further as "we") aims to protect and respect privacy in accordance with the EU Privacy Statement (2016/679) of 27th April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR) enforced from 25th May 2018. The below Privacy Statement explains when and why we collect personal information, how we use it, when we can pass it on to others and how we safeguard the information security.
COLLECTING, STORING, AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
This website is hosted on Squarespace platform. Squarespace.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Squarespace’s data storage, databases and the general Squarespace applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.
Our booking system is Rezdy, and the payment gate we use is Stripe. Both are online platforms that help us collect and store your data.
When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, telephone number, address, email address and body/clothing size. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons: processing of your bookings and payments, internal booking statistics as well as bookkeeping, contacting you regarding the purchased products, providing you the technical clothing for the tours, sending pictures from the tours, provide ongoing customer assistance etc.
We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); payment details, comments, feedback.
Once you make a booking or contact us by email on the contact form, we may use your personal information to contact you regarding your questions, inquiries and bookings. We may contact you to troubleshoot problems with your booking, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or money owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, online messengers, and postal mail.
SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We can pass your personal information (from your bookings) to our partners (activity providers/ booking agents) in case of booking transfer, that is previously agreed upon with the customer. We store the collected personal information as long as we may need it and when it is no longer necessary, we will delete it safely.
COOKIES
The website uses cookies to collect information while you navigate our webpages. This information includes standard information from your browser, such as the browser type and browser language, IP address (Internet protocol), and the actions you perform on the company’s web pages, as the web pages you view and the links you click. The information is used to make the web pages work more efficiently, as well as giving us business and marketing information. The website also gathers information about the operating system, referring page, the path through the website, the ISP domain, etc. The purpose is to understand how visitors use a website. Cookies and similar technologies help us tailor the site to your personal needs, as well as detect and prevent security threats and abuse. If cookies and web hosts are used alone, they will not identify you personally.
